The Chalet - ‘Chez Helene’ is located directly opposite the Courchevel ski resort of La Tania, which is part of the 3 Vallees ski domain, which has over 625km of pistes and is reputed to be the largest linked ski area in the world! The chalet is on the sunny side of the Bozel valley, on the back of the La Plagne ski resort, which is part of the Paradiski linked ski domain (La Plagne/Les Arcs), and with 425km of Pistes and is the third largest linked ski area in the world.

The village of Montagny is situated above Brides les Bains, a thermal spa town at the foot of the Meribel Valley. The pretty village of Bozel, at the foot of Courchevel ski resort, is just 6 minutes drive from the chalet, and from there gives access to three very different and huge mountain domains.

The ski lifts for ‘Courchevel/3 Vallees skiing’ are located at Le Praz (20 mins drive from chalet) and La Tania (25 mins), or for Meribel/3 Vallees at Brides Les Bains (15 mins), and for La Plagne/Les Arcs/Paradiski a 12 mins drive (via Bozel) from the chalet to Champagny-en-Vanois.

The chalet is located in the centre of five of the biggest and best ski resorts in the French Alps, and with over 1,000km of skiing just 15-20 mins drive away, is probably located in the very best place in the world!

The local resorts provide high altitude, snow sure skiing - and with an unrivalled 1000+ km of pisted skiing suits skiers and snowboarders of all levels from novice beginners to experts offering some of the very best runs in the world.

Ski/boot/pole hire, with 10% discount offered to my guests from the local ski hire shop, starts at €72 (£60) for 6 days for beginners, and €108 (£90) for black run experts, with options in between for blue/red run intermediate skiers. For those with their own boots, ski only hire for experts is €84 for 6 days (£70).

Total beginners can ski in Courchevel without the need to buy a ski pass. There are free ski buses/shuttles linking Bozel/La Praz/Couchevel 1550 to Courchevel 1850, where there are free ski lifts with lgently sloped green and blue runs to learn and practice on. And later, when up for the challenge, the option to return to Courchevel 1550 via a blue run, or Le Praz (1350) via a steep red run….. conquer those runs and you’ll be ready to explore the whole of the 3 Vallees and Paradiski mountain domains with a lift pass!

Another option for beginners, or gentle skiers, with access to a much larger ski area than the free lift slopes, is the Courchevel 1850 mini-pass, which covers a big enough area to have amazing fun in, and goes from approx 2,200m (half way up the mountain) down to 1,300m, to Le Praz (where the car is parked), providing a vertical drop of almost 1km via easy greens, cruising blues and challenging reds, and all for only €20/day.

The Champagny (La Plagne) area pass for just €31/day offers yet another fantastic value ski area, and is very popular with my guests. The whole of La Plagne and les Arcs is also accessible from Champagny on a paradiski pass.
